About The Organisation and Our Commitment
Since the beginning, we recognised that business as usual is failing people and the planet. The planet gives our ingredients. It's only right that we give back to the environment. As a registered member of 1% For The Planet, we have made an ongoing pledge to donate 1% of our annual sales revenue to help address the world's most pressing environmental challenges.
In 2001, two close friends and successful entrepreneurs embarked on a fishing trip along the Madison River. Recognising their businesses' ecological footprint, they donated 1% of their yearly sales - not just profits - to environmental causes.
The founders, Yvon Chouinard of Patagonia and Craig Mathews of Blue Ribbon Flies, established 1% For The Planet in 2002, igniting a worldwide movement. This initiative empowers businesses to take responsibility for their environmental influence. Since its inception, 1% For The Planet has grown internationally, aiding numerous enterprises in making impactful contributions.
We’ve been a 1% For The Planet member since our inception, joining thousands of businesses and supporting over 6300 certified Environmental Partners, including The Bike Project, The National Forest Foundation and Spitalfields City Farm.
