When we discovered Ben and his story we couldn’t help being totally inspired, but the journey to get to living a more purposeful and adventurous life was certainly not an easy one. With tours of Afghanistan, multiple global expeditions, being completely broke, living in a car and a van, and then completely restarting as a civilian after knowing nothing but the Army, there was one thing that stuck with him throughout: an unrelenting pursuit for the next adventure.
Ben has run 16 marathons in 16 days in 16 National Parks around the UK, climbed a 20ft gym rope 731 times in under 12 hrs, raced the Glen Coe SkyRace, cycled 3373km around Iceland in 28 days, pushed through phases of the SAS selection course, completed ultra marathons with a 25kg rucksack on and pushed hard climbs across Scotland in both winter and Summer. Ben has always got to the end of a challenge and asked himself, “what’s next?”
This has led to the development of INDE-Fit, Ben’s coaching business where he helps people through bespoke Adventure Coaching, group personal training classes, and guided mountain adventures.
Adventure coaching, to Ben, is the framework to help people find their own adventure in their life, putting into place the fundamentals in nutrition, training, and forging a more resilient mind. Finding more adventure in life transcends to improving people’s work life, home and social lives, self-talk, and energy that is brought to the environment surrounding them. When we embrace adventure and development, we improve every aspect of our health and our perception of the world around.
Ben wants to add value to you reading this blogs by sharing the application of Rawvelo products throughout my many upcoming adventures, but also digging into the research and evidence behind the ingredients of each product and how that fits into your nutrition and training strategies.
